Below are a list of our most commonly asked questions. We’ve also included dental implant FAQs with some extra information if you’re considering implants. For more information please contact us today.
1. WHERE ARE THE CROWNS AND VENEERS MADE?
All of our crowns and veneers are either made onsite at our clinic in Carrara or at our Gold Coast partner laboratory.
2. HOW LONG DOES TREATMENT TAKE?
It depends on what treatment you have. For example, someone looking to replace all of their amalgams will take about 4-7 business days. A veneer smile makeover will take about 3-5 business days. Dental implant treatment is spread out over about 3-6 months, with treatment occurring in two blocks: 4-5 business days at the start and generally 4-5 business days at the end. Of course, individual cases vary and patients living closer to the clinic may elect to have their appointments spread out over a longer period. We try and tailor your treatment times to have the fewest visits possible.
3. WHAT WARRANTIES ARE OFFERED ON TREATMENT?
All of our crowns and veneers come with a 5-year manufacturers and installation warranty. Our dental implants come with 5 year manufacturers and installation warranties. These warranties are dependent on 6 monthly dental visits (proof will be required), twice daily brushing, daily flossing, and for dental implant patients, no smoking. These warranties do not cover the costs of normal maintenance, wear and tear, or misuse. The warranties only cover the dental replacement costs and do not cover any travel or associated costs.
4. I HAVE FILLED OUT AN ONLINE EVALUATION FORM, HOW LONG UNTIL I HEAR FROM THE CLINIC?
It normally takes about 3-5 business days. We may send out a treatment proposal or we may ask you to submit more information.
5. IS THE TREATMENT PROPOSAL SENT TO ME A FINAL TREATMENT PLAN?
The treatment proposal we send you is based on the information you have provided us. Sometimes we may ask you for more information (such as radiographs) so that we can provide the most accurate treatment proposal. However, no treatment can commence (or be confirmed) until you have a consultation appointment with a dentist at The White Bite, where a thorough dental examination will be undertaken. At this stage, your treatment proposal may or may not require modification and a final treatment plan will be provided before any treatment commences.
6. ONCE I HAVE MY TREATMENT PROPOSAL, CAN I PRE-BOOK IN MY TREATMENT TIMES/APPOINTMENTS?
Wherever possible and with your permission, The White Bite will allocate you appointments for the proposed dental treatment. This allows you and us to both know how long your treatment will take and how many times we need to see you. However, this does not mean that treatment is guaranteed. All treatment proposals are reviewed at the initial consultation appointment and, where clinically and ethically acceptable, modified and/or confirmed to create your final treatment plan.
